Head of School Announcement

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Mrs. Linda Leiberman has been selected as the new incoming Head of School of Kells Academy. Following an intensive search and a rigorous interview process by the Search Committee, Mrs. Leiberman was selected from a pool of talented professional educators. We are thrilled that she has accepted our offer and look forward to welcoming her into the Kells team.

Mrs. Leiberman is well-known within the educational community in Montreal and has an impressive record and broad-based experience in both executive and pedagogical functions. Until recently, she was the Principal of Herzliah High School (United Talmud Torahs of Montreal), a position that she was selected for after serving four years as their Vice-Principal.

With her combination of energy, passion, and creativity, Mrs. Leiberman brings many strengths to the Kells team. As Principal of Herzliah she safeguarded the vision and image of the school and oversaw all aspects of executive and pedagogical functions including curriculum, admissions, and disciplinary protocol, creating a new sense of community outreach and communication with the parent body.

With a strong background in Science, Mrs. Leiberman started her career as the Head of the Science Department at St. George’s School of Montreal where she piloted the “Integrated Science” (IS) program, represented the school at SAPCO (Science Action Plan Committee) and also established herself as the IS resource trainer in support of other QAIS schools. Given her first language fluency in French, Mrs. Leiberman was also a consultant with TVA, for whom she researched and prepared scripts for the French version of Integrated Science.

Later, as Director of Admissions, she implemented an internal restructure of the admissions process and promoted the recruitment of international students. After a short tenure in this position, she moved from St. George’s to accept greater responsibilities at Herzliah.

In her new leadership role at Kells Academy, Mrs. Leiberman is committed to raising Kells’ profile as a flagship among Montreal independent schools and, through collaboration with teachers, staff, students, and their families, making it an innovative leader in the private school system.

We are grateful to our search committee and very pleased that Mrs. Leiberman has accepted our offer to lead Kells Academy to new heights. Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Leiberman and wishing her great success as the Head of Kells Academy.
